Staff and volunteers
Whichever type of provision you choose, you will almost
certainly be looking for and working with volunteers as well as
possibly paid staff. This applies to staffed, semi-staffed, and
even un-staffed play areas, which still need maintenance and
organisation.
Anyone employing staff or working with
volunteers must understand basic employment law, health
and safety, safeguarding legislation, inspection criteria
and guidance, and how to underpin good practice.
This means:
- Different types of staff and volunteers
- The value of qualified playworkers
- Working with volunteers
- Employing staff
