Who should I involve?
This section helps you ensure that anyone
interested in your project is encouraged to play an active
role.
Any project that aims to develop, improve and sustain play
provision within the local community should, as a matter of
principle, involve local people from that community in all stages
of the planning, design and delivery of the provision.
Inevitably, there are some people or groups who may feel
excluded from local play provision and services. Therefore all play
provision should be accessible and inclusive, and anyone beginning
to plan new or refurbished provision will need to seek out the
views of all parts of the community, encouraging dialogue to tackle
any perception issues and barriers to inclusion.
This means:
- Working with local people
- Involving children and young people
- Including all sections of the community
