Engaging your local authority

Your local authority may already have its own play strategy. It’s there to guide their investment in play provision and wider play services.  Even local authorities that don’t have a local play strategy will have a responsibility, delivery plans and services for play.

This section explains how you might benefit from becoming familiar with a local authority’s play strategy and where best to find local information.

This means:

  1. The local authority's responsibilities for play
  2. What is a local play strategy?
  3. Local information sources
